Электроника салона

За стильным 2-спицевым рулем всегда электронная панель приборов диагональю от 10,3 дюйма. В версии Grand размер дисплея увеличится до 12,3 дюймов. Это же касается центрального дисплея мультимедиа Uconnect, в начальной версии диагональ равна 10,1 дюймов, а в Grand 12 дюймам.

Вообще внутри салона 7 дисплеев и помимо уже перечисленных есть: 10,3-дюймовый для настройки климат-контроля, 10,3-дюймовый перед передним пассажиром на торпедо для настройки музыки. Еще два экрана мультимедиа доступны задним пассажирам и центральный дисплей настройки собственного климата при 7-местном салона.

Все дисплеи кроме приборов и основной мультимедиа – опциональные удовольствия.

Автомобиль оснащен аудиосистемой McIntosh MX950 с 19 динамиками, а опционально установят MX1375 с 23 динамиками.

Также в Wagoneer есть масса систем безопасности, не все из которых установлены в базе. Весь комплекс Active Driving Assist:

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Grand Wagoneer is motivated by a 471-hp 6.4-liter V-8 that pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive. As with its domestic rivals, the Grand Wagoneer utilizes body-on-frame underpinnings, in this case, derived from the Ram 1500 pickup truck. However, the Jeep features an independent rear suspension rather than the truck’s solid rear axle, which gives the SUV a smoother ride and better handling than the Ram. Along with several four-wheel-drive systems, the Grand Wagoneer offers an adaptive air suspension that can raise its ride height up to 3.6 inches or lower it by a half-inch. It also boasts 10 inches of ground clearance, up to two feet of water-fording capability, and a max tow rating of 9860 pounds. Our first driving impressions revealed that the largest Jeep has a relaxed and refined ride on the highway, however, its pickup-truck structure contributes to a jiggly ride on pavement that’s less smooth. Likewise, the massive SUV isn’t very agile in small spaces and suffers from notable body roll on curvy roads that is exacerbated by its light and vague steering feel.

Автомобиль всего будет 3-рядным, а вот количество посадочных мест разные: 8 или 7. В 7-местном второй ряд сидений перестанет быть диваном, а станет двумя раздельными креслами. Третий ряд Wagoneer – это полноценный диван для троих человек, который вместит взрослых пассажиров, в отличие от привычных нам 7-местных автомобилей.

Также внедорожник с тремя рядами сидений остается с неплохим багажником объемом 776 литров по методике EPA – полный объем до потолка.

Передние пассажиры разделены огромным подлокотником. Сиденья регулируются электрически, только в версии Grand кнопки регулировки переедут на дверную карту как у Мерседесов. В реальности это намного удобней.

Технические характеристики

Wagoneer и Grand Wagoneer отличаются двигателями:

В базе стоит Hemi V8 5,7-литрового объема, выдающий 397 лошадиных сил и 548 H*m крутящего момента.
Grand Вэгонир – тот же V8, но увеличенного объема до 6,4 литра. Выдает двигатель 477 лошадей и 617 единиц крутящего момента.

Парой всегда выступает 8-ступенчатый автомат, а вот привод снова зависит от версии. Базовая комплектация будет заднеприводной с опциональными тремя полноприводными системами:

Quadra-Trac I – система с муфтой подключения передней оси;
Quadra-Trac II – то же самое с дополнительной понижающей передачей;
Quadra-Drive II – система с электронной блокировкой заднего дифференциала.

Версия Grand сразу получит Quadra-Trac II, а опционально поставят блокировку заднего дифференциала.

Внедорожник построен на раме, унифицированной с пикапом Dodge Ram 1500. Подвеска вкруг независимая в отличие от Рам, это двухрычажная архитектура спереди и многорычажная сзади. В этом случае дорожный просвет равен 211 мм, но доступна опциональная пневма Quadra-Lift с максимальным просветом в 257 мм.

Grand Wagoneer пневмоподвеску получает сразу и отличается максимальной массой буксируемого прицепа – 4,7 тонны против 4,5 тонны у базовой заднеприводной модели. Опционально предлагается пакет All-Terrain Package с металлической защитой днища автомобиля.

Две версии

Представительство запустила продажи обычной версии и Grand Wagoneer и вопреки очевидной мысли о разных размерах – автомобили одинаковые. Из названия кажется, что Grand длиннее, но их размеры одинаковые:

высота – 1920 мм;
колесная база – 3124 мм.

Автомобиль позиционируется отдельно от бренда, как самостоятельная модель. Это понятно по отсутствию логотипа Jeep как снаружи, так и внутри внедорожника. Узнать бренд можно только по фирменной решетке радиатора с 7 секциями.

Спереди поставили тонкие относительно размеров Wagoneer светодиодные фары. Бампер имеет противотуманные фары, обведенные хромированной полосой. Также спереди хорошо виден радар систем безопасности.

В зависимости от комплектации дизайн автомобиля будет меняться. В верхних версиях изменят начинку фар, установят другой капот и даже название автомобиля с капота переедет на решетку радиатора, плюс появится больше хромированных деталей, которые любят американские покупатели.

Сбоку отметить нечего кроме интересной формы стекол с толстым хромом. Сзади просто ровная форма с якобы сплошным фонарем. Тонкие фонари раздельные, просто соединены вставкой, которая не светится. Бампер простенький с отражателями и хромом.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Not only is the Grand Wagoneer fitted with a suite of standard driver-assistance technology, the luxury SUV is available with an equally wide array of additional assists. These include adaptive cruise control, a self-parking function, and night vision with pedestrian and animal detection. A semi-autonomous mode that allows hands-free driving will also eventually be offered. Key safety features include:

Standard forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking
Standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert

Infotainment and Connectivity

One of the most dazzling aspects of the Grand Wagoneer is its multifaceted infotainment system. Even without including the digital gauge cluster, the Jeep’s dashboard is covered in screens. The main focus is the center stack, which packs a 12.0-inch center touchscreen that sits above a 10.3-inch touchscreen with controls for the HVAC system. Starting on the Series II, there’s yet another 10.3-inch touchscreen for the front-seat passenger. Desirable standard features include a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and USB ports in all three rows. Second-row passengers are also treated to another 10.3-inch touchscreen between the captain’s chairs; opting for the rear-seat entertainment system adds a pair of 10.1-inch touchscreens. Every Grand Wagoneer has a powerful McIntosh stereo, but the Series II and up get a more powerful 1375-watt unit with 23 speakers.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

With standard three-row seating and space for either seven or eight passengers, the Grand Wagoneer provides large families an opportunity to live the Jeep lifestyle, which hasn’t been possible since the old and unloved Commander was around. A pair of second-row captain’s chairs are standard, but a bench seat is available for maximum passenger capacity. As the luxury version of the regular Wagoneer, its cabin is loaded with elegant environs, such as genuine wood accents, and high-tech features, such as a 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster. The interior also boasts «Easter eggs» inspired by the original Grand Wagoneer, including an old-school-inspired two-spoke steering wheel and an «EST. 1963» inscription that appears on the edge of the dashboard when you open the door. Along with customizable ambient interior lighting, this grandest of Wagoneers offers a head-up display, a camera-fed rearview mirror, and rear-seat monitoring system that displays a video feed onto the central touchscreen. The cargo area behind the third row measures 27 cubic feet and stowing it provides 71 cubes behind the second row.
